The INFWIN DigiTS is a digital temperature string: an arrangement of individually-addressed temperature sensor nodes mounted in a single rugged, reinforced cable, with SDI-12 or RS485/Modbus-RTU output. Each DigiTS is manufactured to the customer's specific node count and spacing. Power supply, output interface, connector type, leading cable length, and the full node layout (address and depth for every node) are all specified via ordering code - the configuration below (DigiTS-AAB002[0]{1/0}{2/100}{3/130}) is a 3-node string with RS485/Modbus-RTU output, 9–28V DC supply, a cold-pressed terminal connector, and a 2 m leading cable.
Each temperature node is individually addressed and referenced to its own depth, so a single string can profile temperature at multiple points along its length - down a soil pit, through a lake or ocean column, or along a permafrost bore. Reverse power protection and built-in TVS/ESD protection are included.
Key Features
- Multi-point profiling: Up to 36 individually-addressed temperature nodes in a single string
- Depth-referenced nodes: Each node reports its distance from the end node, so readings map directly to physical depth
- Accurate and stable measurements: High-resolution temperature sensing at every node
- Digital output: SDI-12 (V1.3) for universal datalogger compatibility and low-power use, or RS485/Modbus-RTU for long cable runs, both with built-in surge protection
- Configurable measurement timing: Measure on data read, or automatically at a periodic interval
- Fast warm-up: Under 10 seconds
- Robust construction: Kevlar-reinforced 20AWG cable, under 7.5 mm diameter, with nylon sensor node housings
- Long reach: Up to 152 m (500 ft) total cable length
- Low power consumption
- Reverse power protection: Built-in TVS/ESD protection
- Connector options: Cold-pressed terminal or stripped & tinned lead wires
- Configuration utility: SensorOneSet software (RS485) or SensorOneSetSDI12 software (SDI-12) included for sensor configuration
Applications
- Permafrost profile temperature
- Ocean and lake profile temperature
- Temperature field measurement
- Scientific research
- LoRaWAN IoT deployments via the Catena-5310 or compatible RS485/Modbus-RTU/SDI-12 gateway
Important Notes
- Each string is built to order - the ordering code must specify a node address and depth-from-end for every node, so no two configurations look alike.
- Minimum spacing between adjacent nodes is 15 cm (6 in).
- Maximum of 36 nodes per string; maximum total cable length is 152 m (500 ft).
- Power and data-reading current draw scale with the number of nodes - see the specification table for the per-node current formulas.
- Long-term operating range is −40°C to +85°C, even though the sensing element itself is rated to −55°C.
- All nodes in the same string must share the same temperature-string serial number; if multiple strings share a system, each string needs a distinct serial number.

| Code 6: Temperature String Serial Number | [TempStringSerialNum] | Serial number for this temperature string, 0–65534. All nodes in the same string share this number; each string in a multi-string system must use a different number. |
| Node 1 Info (end node) | {Addr/DepthFromEnd} | The end node is the node furthest from the collector. Addr is the node's slave address; DepthFromEnd is the distance (cm) from the end node - normally 0 cm for the end node itself. |
| Node 2 Info | {Addr/DepthFromEnd} | Next node up from Node 1. Addr is the node's slave address; DepthFromEnd is its distance (cm) from the end node. |
| Node 3–36 Info | {Addr/DepthFromEnd} | One entry per additional node, up to Node 36, each specifying slave address and distance (cm) from the end node. |
This Configuration: DigiTS-AAB002[0]{1/0}{2/100}{3/130}
| Power supply | 9–28V DC |
| Output interface | RS485, Modbus-RTU |
| Connector | Cold-pressed terminal |
