The INFWIN LWS10 is a leaf wetness sensor with RS485/Modbus-RTU output. Its resin-sealed plastic body mimics the thermal resistance, shape, and thickness of a real leaf, so wetness readings track how water, ice, or fog would actually collect on foliage. Output interface, power supply, and cable length are configurable via ordering code - the default variant (LWS10-CA002) ships with RS485/Modbus-RTU output, 3.6–30V DC supply, and a 2 m cable.

Wetness measurement value is proportional to the percentage of the sensing area covered with water. LWS10 also reports temperature for compensation. Reverse power protection and built-in TVS/ESD protection are included.

Important Notes

  • LWS10 mounts using a mounting kit (canopy or stake mount, per installation guidance) rather than being inserted into soil.
  • SDI-12 output is listed in the ordering code but is not currently available.
  • 4–20mA output requires 12–30V DC supply; the 3.6–30V DC supply option (Code A) is not compatible with 4–20mA output.
  • 2.7–16V DC and 2.0–5.5V DC power options are listed in the ordering code but are not currently available.
  • When using Active Output mode on RS485, only one sensor should be on the RS485 network to avoid data collision.
