The Nexelec FIX is a professional-grade adhesive fastener for mounting KARE+, SAFE+, and other Nexelec sensors using BASE and BASE+ mounting bases — no drilling, no screws, no plugs required. Sold in packs of 100, FIX is designed for large-scale residential and commercial deployments where speed and property preservation matter.
FIX uses 3M double-sided viscoelastic acrylic foam tape technology. The adhesive bonds to most smooth, clean surfaces — paint, plastic, glass, metal — and is resistant to water and high temperatures, making it suitable for use in bathrooms, offices, and industrial spaces.
Key Features
- No drilling required: Avoids holes in walls and ceilings. Eliminates the need to locate pipes, cables, or asbestos before installation. Installation time: approximately 1 minute per detector.
- 3M viscoelastic acrylic foam adhesive: Solvent-free, high-viscosity technology. Laboratory-tested for very high pull-out resistance. Bonds to paint, plastic, glass, wood, and metal.
- Certified installation device: Approved for use with Nexelec detectors certified to EN14604 (smoke), EN50291 (CO), and NF292. CE and NF certified.
- Compatible with BASE and BASE+ mounting bases only: Designed exclusively for the Nexelec BASE (compact) and BASE+ (standard) detector mounting bases used with KARE+ and SAFE+ sensors.
- Wide surface compatibility: Adheres to most smooth, non-porous, clean substrates. Resistant to water and temperatures from −30°C to +70°C.
- Professional pack: Sold in packs of 100 fasteners (reference S002-PRO).
Applications

Installation
- Peel off the white film from the adhesive.
- Stick FIX to the back of a BASE or BASE+ mounting base.
- Remove the red film.
- Press firmly against the surface for 10 seconds.
- Wait 30 seconds before snapping the detector onto the base.
Important Notes
- For use exclusively with Nexelec BASE and BASE+ detector mounting bases. Not compatible with other mounting systems.
- Apply only to smooth, clean, non-porous surfaces. Surface must be free of dust, grease, and loose paint.
- AFNOR Certification recommends fixing detectors with screws and plugs. FIX is an approved alternative — refer to the "Installation" section of the Nexelec user manual for your specific detector.
