Nexelec KARE+ 3-in-1 Room Sensor

The Nexelec KARE+ is a 3-in-1 LoRaWAN room sensor that monitors smoke, temperature, and humidity. Designed for lessors, property owners, and building maintenance specialists, KARE+ provides remote monitoring and real-time alerts for smoke events alongside ambient condition tracking.

KARE+ combines a photoelectric smoke sensor with temperature and humidity sensing in a compact wall-mount enclosure. A digital logbook via QR code tracks installation and maintenance history across large fleets.

• Smoke detection: Photoelectric sensor using optical detection by diffused light (Tyndall effect). Reacts quickly to smoke and triggers an 85 dB audible alarm to warn occupants.
• Temperature measurement: Resolution 0.1°C, accuracy ±0.2°C, range −30°C to +70°C
• Humidity measurement: Resolution 0.5% RH, accuracy ±2% RH, range 0–100% RH
• 5-year replaceable battery: 1× CR123 lithium battery (included). Battery is user-replaceable, unlike SAFE+. 5-year autonomy not guaranteed.
• Powerful audible alarm: 85 dB at 3 m to quickly alert occupants in case of smoke.
• Air 360° detection technology: Exclusive sensing design simplifies sensor maintenance for residents.
• LED status indicator: Discreet in standby mode, powerful in alarm mode.
• Test/Silence button: Large touch-sensitive button on the front panel. Stops the alarm or puts the sensor on standby for 10 minutes without removing it from its base.
• 8-hour beep delay: Temporarily silences fault beeps until the sensor is replaced — reduces nuisance calls in rental housing.
• Remote monitoring: Smoke alarm events transmitted wirelessly when configured. Not transmitted by default; configurable if remote monitoring by an authorized company is required.
• Remote maintenance: Real-time alerts for product faults, low batteries, and other critical parameters — simplifies fleet management across thousands of sensors.
• Digital logbook: QR code on each sensor links to an online logbook tracking installation, maintenance, and replacement history. Integrates with property management software via API.
• Anti-tamper: Lockable mounting base reduces risk of removal in rental housing; alert triggered if the sensor is removed.
• Insect barrier: Integrated pest screen protects the sensing chamber.
• Mounting: Wall or ceiling. Includes compact BASE+ mounting base (30 mm diameter) and 3M adhesive fastener — no drilling required. Universal base compatible with many third-party mounting holes.
• LoRaWAN connectivity: LoRaWAN only (X862LS, 915 MHz)

Important Notes

• Intended for indoor use only. Operating range: −10°C to +50°C, 0–99% RH non-condensing.
• KARE+ is not a certified smoke detector and is not a substitute for a certified smoke alarm. Consult the regulations in force in your country regarding smoke detection requirements.
• The product is approved for wall mounting at a distance of 30–60 cm below the ceiling for accurate temperature and humidity readings.
• Smoke alarm events are not transmitted by default. If remote monitoring is required, the device settings must be adjusted or an approved remote monitoring company engaged.
• Battery life of 5 years is not guaranteed; actual life may vary. Refer to the "Precautions and Limitations" section of the user manual.
• KARE+ supports LoRaWAN only at 915 MHz (X862LS). There is no EU868 variant listed.
• LoRaWAN gateway and network server not included. A LoRaWAN network must be available at the installation site.
