The ED-Pi5Case-HA is a dedicated accessory kit that enables the installation of HAT (Hardware Attached on Top) expansion modules onto EDATEC's ED-Pi5Case-O (open frame) and ED-Pi5Case-B (box) Raspberry Pi 5 enclosures. The kit includes a Raspberry Pi 40-Pin GPIO long-pin expansion header for reliable connection to the Raspberry Pi 5's GPIO pins, plus the mounting hardware needed to securely attach the HAT to the case. Available with silver or black hardware to match the colour of your case.

Installation Notes

The following notes apply to both ED-Pi5Case-O and ED-Pi5Case-B installations. A 1.5mm allen key is required but not included — it is supplied with your EDATEC case.

If the case is already assembled with the Raspberry Pi 5, remove the existing case mounting screws before starting.
Place the Raspberry Pi 5 on the bottom cover, aligning the mounting holes with the screw holes on the bottom cover.
Pass the PCIe cable from the HAT module through the pre-drilled hole in the top cover before placing the top cover down over the Raspberry Pi 5.
Place the top cover down over the Raspberry Pi 5 and align the screw holes.
Insert four M2.5×8+11 studs into the screw holes on the top cover and tighten clockwise by hand.
Connect the 40-Pin connector to the Raspberry Pi 5 GPIO header.
Connect the HAT module to the Raspberry Pi 5 via the 40-Pin connector and align the HAT screw holes with the four studs.
Insert four M2.5×5 screws into the HAT screw holes and tighten clockwise using the allen key to secure the HAT to the case.
