The LR1302 LoRaWAN HAT is a powerful Raspberry Pi expansion board designed to enable seamless integration of SX1302-based LoRaWAN gateway functionality. It connects the LR1302 gateway module to Raspberry Pi boards (compatible up to Raspberry Pi 5), making it easy to build a compact and efficient LoRaWAN gateway solution.

This HAT integrates a GPS module and RTC (Real-Time Clock), enhancing both positioning accuracy and time synchronization-critical for reliable LoRaWAN communication. It supports a mini-PCIe interface for the LR1302 module and automatically maps the 52-pin gold finger to the Raspberry Pi’s standard 40-pin GPIO header, simplifying development and deployment.

Additionally, the onboard cooling fan improves thermal performance, ensuring stable operation of the Raspberry Pi during continuous use. When combined with an LR1302 gateway module and a Raspberry Pi, this HAT enables users to build a complete and compact LoRaWAN gateway suitable for IoT applications such as smart agriculture, smart cities, and industrial monitoring.
